Hector Joseph Berube went into the presence of the Lord on Monday, August 24, 2020, in Airdrie, Alberta.
Hector was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, friend, and the neighborhood lawn care provider.
Hector will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Edith; his children, Brenda, Barb, Leanne; and his grandchildren, Brady, Tiffany, Branden, Matthew, Jazzy and Angel.
Hector took great pride and joy in everything he did. He worked hard everyday building new things, tinkering, and taking care of his new truck. He will be remembered as someone that helped anyone out, wherever he could. He could fix anything, at anytime. He would rig it up and figure it out.
He was well known in the pipeline industry and spent over 50 years in the union, which he was very proud of. He loved using and talking about heavy equipment. One sentence and you could have him talking and showing you pictures for hours.
Hector enjoyed travelling the world with his family, and spent a lot of time at Jackfish Lake, where he built a beautiful house. He loved coffee with his friends, walking the mall, sitting (mostly sleeping….he could sleep anywhere) in his chair with his cat and a good book, watching sports, checking the stock market updates every day and watching way too much FOX news for his own good. He collected pocket watches, pins and cute little knick knacks to make his room nice.
He was thoughtful, kind, funny, loving and truly one of the best role models we could have asked for. He brought so much happiness into the lives of everyone around him. We will all miss him and his infectious smile.
A Celebration of Hector’s Life will be held at the Calahoo Community Hall on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 2:00 pm. A special thank you to Terri Bozok, and everyone that helped contribute to the Celebration of Life.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Hector Joseph Berube August 24th 2020..
