It is with sadness
that we announce our Mother’s passing at the Dr. Everett
Chalmers Hospital on December 14, 2020. Born on Keswick
Ridge, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Maude (Wiggins)
Jones.
Left to mourn are
son Charles (Jan) of Fredericton daughters Pamela Hagy of Rhode
Island, Janet Flowers of Fredericton, and stepdaughter Joyce Frost of
Fredericton. She is also survived by a sister Amber Anderson (Marven)
and a brother Darrell Jones (Rhinda). Hazel is also survived
by her grandchildren Jessica Flowers of Fredericton, Darren Flowers
(Sheilagh) of Ottawa, Justin Flowers (Amber) of Fredericton; Patrick
Hagy (Jasmin) of Rhode Island; Kathleen Hagy (Zachary Roy) of
Massachusetts and Ian Hagy of Rhode Island and great-grandson Lochlan
of Ottawa. Step-grandchildren Shelly Smith-Ramey (Kayla, Avery and
Logan) of Fredericton and Christine Smith (Pierre) of Quebec, and new
favorite family addition – Harry and many nieces, nephews
and cousins.
Besides her parents
she was pre-deceased by long time partner Al Watts, daughter Patricia
Flowers; sisters Mabel, Lois, Betty and Beverly; brother Elwood
« Jock »; former husband Toppy Flowers and her beloved cat
Burdock. We would like to thank Dr. Chris Lambropoulos and Dr. Anne
Colpitts for their care of our mother as well as the kind and
thoughtful nurses of 3 East who provided compassionate support these
last few days.
Thank you also to
the staff at Shannex – Brunswick Hall for their support and
kindness to our mother.
Due to the
pandemic, there will be no visitation or funeral. A
graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later
date.
In lieu of flowers,
memorials to the Fredericton SPCA, the New Brunswick Lung Association
or a favorite charity of your choice would be appreciated by the
family.
