Obituary of Harold Edmund Crisp
It is with devastating sorrow that Don and Denise share with you the news that we have lost our one and only hero, on December 26, 2019. Dad was many things, supportive and caring husband, father and grandfather; a dedicated firefighter; an avid golfer; a successful fisherman; Mr. Fixit; a faithful friend but above all, he was man that we all looked up to for sage wisdom and even some coffee shop gossip. In 2009 when both he and mom were diagnosed with Cancer, he would venture out every morning to his daily radiation treatments at one hospital then off to be with mom at the other hospital. His very special and much loved grandsons, Regan and Jackson are what kept him going when things looked bleak. Papa Harold liked nothing better than to ride the tractor, the combine or the semi as the boys and their dad worked the farm. Harold is survived by his devoted children: son Don of Regina, SK; daughter Denise (Kelly) Bradford of Lancer, SK; Grandson’s Regan of Toronto, ON and Jackson (fiancé Chey Schulze) of Lancer, SK. Also, by many other family members near and far including a sister, a brother-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Dad was predeceased by the love of his life Armande (nee Larocque) in 2010; parents Reg and Corelia (nee Eagleson); sister Ruth Anne; and numerous in-laws and cousins. May we all continue to strive by the example Harold has left with us. To special friends we can’t thank you enough for your understanding, patience, guidance, friendship and love shown to both mom and dad over the years. To Dr. Hein deKlerk & family, all the medical staff at every level, the Home Care workers, friends and neighbor’s at Prairie View Lodge, new friends at Cypress House, to Gerri & the late Jake Gerlach, Jean & the late Carl Loose, Christina, Nick and Pete Tsourgrianis, Bernice, Mary and Rhonda, to Pastor Joell and his church family, to Arnie, Donna & Jeffery Wipf and many others from the Abbey and Wheatland Colony’s THANK YOU! Flowers gratefully declined; however should you be so inclined donations may be made to the Dr. Noble Irwin Health Care Foundation, 2051 Saskatchewan Drive, Swift Current, SK S9H 0X6. Please join us in saying farewell to a man that touched us all with love and kindness. A Memorial Service celebrating Harold’s life will take place at Community Baptist Church, 800-2nd Avenue N.W. Swift Current, SK at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2020 with Pastor Joell Haugan officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Morse, SK.
