Hanna Eliashiv

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Hanna Zelikovic Eliashiv on Friday, November 20th, 2020. Daughter of Pesi and the late Mendel Zelikovic z »l, sister and sister-in-law of the late Mordechai (Mordy) z »l and Susan Zelikovic, and Maya and Noam Yaffe. Adoring Wife of Arlazar for fifty years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Yoel, Oz (Samantha) and Tamar (Dany). Proudest Savta of Rory and Oliver. Proud « Auntie Hanna » of Michael, Elana and Megan Zelikovic, as well as Alon, Dana and Lior Yaffe. She was affectionately known as “Big Hanna” to her many cousins, who she enjoyed spending time with, especially over the holidays.
Born in the Czech Republic, Hanna made her way to Canada via Israel. Once settled in Canada, Hanna dedicated her professional life to education, working at UTT/Herzliah, Solomon Schecter and JPPS/Bialik. Over the years, Hanna became a pillar of the Jewish Community, volunteering for numerous charitable foundations including The Montreal Holocaust Museum.
A lover of all things family, jeopardy, crosswords, movies and books. She touched many and will be greatly missed.
