Obituary of Grace Elizabeth Ellen Naismith

It is with great sadness that Ellie’s family announce her sudden passing at home on Monday, November 30th, 2020. Grace Elizabeth Ellen (nee Kirkpatrick) was the beloved wife of Clifford Naismith, she was 67 years old. Loving mother of Avery Dansereau (Richard) of Ottawa, Kerry Naismith of North Bay and Laura Naismith (Ryan Paulson) of BC. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Alexa, Meghan, Owen, Abigail and Ayden. Dearly loved daughter of Grace Green (nee Lessard) and predeceased by her fathers Edmond Kirkpatrick and Desmond Green. Sadly, missed by her siblings Rachel Pineault (Andre), Daniel Green (Alice), Steven Green, Des Green and by her aunt Dianne Bloedow. Ellie’s Psychiatric Nursing career spanned over 35 years working at several facilities in North Bay and retiring in 2013. She was an advocate for her patients and their rights, and a strong proponent of Mental Health awareness in the Nipissing District. Ellie’s focus away from work was her family, especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to getting away to the trailer, where she could be found reading a book. Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place. If desired a donation to Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
