Glenda Mae « Glennie »
Schofield – 58, of Black River, Kings County, passed away
Saturday, January 18, 2020 at home. Born in Kentville, she was a
daughter of Ethel (Jones) Adams, North Alton and the late Arnold
Adams. Glennie was a homemaker and a loving daughter, wife, mother and
grandmother. She was like a second Mom to all of her
children’s friends and her home was always open to everyone.
She liked to play cards with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Glennie also loved going on drives, camping, bingo and family
gatherings, especially when they had lobster. She is survived by her
husband of 40 years, Brad; a daughter, Sarah (Tim) Holt, Canning; two
sons, Travis Schofield (Michelle Bamber), Black River; David Schofield
(Natalie McDougall), North Alton; two sisters, Wanda Foley (John
Halliday), Hillsburn; Heather (Roy) Harvey, Cambridge; eight
grandchildren, Christopher Chapman (Cora-Lynn MacDow), Lyla Holt,
Kendra Holt, Zayda Schofield, Madison McDougall, Hailey Bugbee, Macy
Holt and Nathan Holt; a great grandchild on the way. There will be no
visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Thursday, January 23, 2020 in the White Family Funeral Home,
Kentville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place
at a later date in the Black River Cemetery. Donations in memory may
be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the charity of your
choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family
Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
