Mr. Gérard Gauthier
July 18, 1954 – April 23, 2019
The family announces with sadness his sudden passing in his home on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at the age of 64 years.
Loving husband of almost 45 years of Louise (nee Lachapelle). Cherished father of Marielle (Michel Parent) Gauthier of Val Caron, Claude (Heidi Pratt) Gauthier of Matheson, Luc Gauthier of Val Gagné and Joanne (Cole Hannam) of Chalk River. He will be forever in the hearts of his grandchildren; Brandon Rivest, Cameron Rivest, Cole Gauthier, Alain Gauthier, Trent Gauthier, Alexandra Gauthier, and Aidan Gauthier. Gerard is also survived by his siblings; Pauline (Rémi) Ayotte, Cléo (Sandra) Gauthier, Gisèle (Léo) Fortin, and René (Louise) Gauthier and his sisters-in-law Claudette Gauthier and Carmen Gauthier. He will be sorely missed by his sisters-in-law; Jeanne (André) Charlebois, Jackie Lachapelle, Grace (Claude) Charlebois, Denise (Edmond) Lambert, Diane (Raymond) Labreche and Cécile (Hercule) Lambert as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Nöel and Georgette Gauthier, as well as his siblings; Donald, Fernand, Gilles (Linda), Émile, and Marielle.
There will be a Celebration of Gérard’s life on August 1, 2020 at 11:00 am at Paroisse Immaculée Conception in Val Gagné.
In memoriam donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.
