Peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale on April 9, 2020 of Maxwell just after his 63rd birthday. Best friend and husband to Margaret(nee Nixey). Loving and devoted father of StephanieYoung, Tanya(Ryan) Sampson, Brandon Mills, Anthony(Kayla) Mills, Tyler(Jasmine) McGill, Aaron McGill, Justin Mills, Charlene(Jamie) Parker and Kyle(Melissa) Mills. Loved and remembered by his grandchildren Drayden, Jeremy, Shania, Evangeline, Jase, Morgan, Brantley, Leanne, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Alivia, Bentley and Braeden. Dear brother of Dan, Donna, Patsy(Bruce), Shelley, Susan(Murray), Robert(Cindy), Edward(Lisa) and Linda. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
Gerald was born in Newmarket on April 7, 1957 to Bertha and George Mills. He was a farmer and that was not just his career, but his lifestyle. He and Marg later bought the Mills family farm in Maxwell where they raised some of their children. Raising his children was the only thing that took second place to farming, but closely behind was raising his dogs. He will be sadly missed by his many dogs.
Due to the current health situation with COVID-19, a celebration of life will take place at a later date at Fawcett Funeral Cremation Reception, Flesherton.
