Georgette Auger (everybody’s Gueguette) passed away quietly in her sleep on September 25th, 2020 at the age of 87. Georgette was born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She and her husband Normand came to live with their daughter Danielle and their son-in-law Jacques in Prince Albert, SK in May of 2014. Georgette is predeceased by her husband Normand, (or as she always called him, « Normand my love »), her mother and father Lilianne and Edouard Brousseau, her brothers Georges and Henri, and her sisters Lucille, Paulette, Isabelle. She is survived by her brother Jean-Guy (Marie-Paule) and her sisters Fleurette and Muriel. Georgette will be remembered with immense amounts of love by her daughter Danielle (Jacques Renaud); her son Ronald (Sylvie); her grandchildren, Mireille (Kyle Chester) and their children Anthony, Emery, Ashtynn; Marc Renaud (Stephanie Thibault) and their son Felix; Dominique (Stewart Toth); Martine (Ryan Knudsen) and their children Lemmy and Emma; and Melissa Auger (Vincent) and her mom Joanne.Georgette worked in the Estate Department at TD Bank in Ottawa till she retired. She was a master at « shorthand ». She was a very outgoing person who participated in all kinds of activities. She especially loved dancing and was known for her little butt wiggle on the dance floor. She had a beautiful smile where she would lift her shoulders and scrunch up her nose. Her favorite song was « Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head » and she hummed it all the time. She enjoyed the feel of the sun on her face, bowling, reading Danielle Steele books, playing a good game of « frime ». She was awed by sunsets. She loved cats, angels, Tweety bird, all holidays and went all out with decorations. She loved watching hockey and she cheered loud! Her favorite teams were the SENS and the HABS. Georgette loved sharing, whether it was food, halls, or laughs. She was an amazing knitter who could make anything you asked for. One thing she will always be remembered for is her love and devotion to her family. She was very present in our lives. She sent letters, made trips to visit, phone calls. If there was an activity for the kids, she was there. She cared deeply for everyone who came into her life and she will be missed by many. We take comfort in knowing that she is finally free of the messed-up world she was trapped in for thirteen years due to Alzheimer’s Disease. We love you ma tite-maman.
