In loving memory of
Mr. Gary Phillip Devine
November 22, 1940 – November 11, 2020
Passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Anson General Hospital in Iroquois Falls, Ontario on Wednesday November 11, 2020 at the age of 79. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 57 years Lynne Devine (nee Cowan), children Christopher Devine, Patrick Devine(Jeanne) and Kathleen Devine (Barb), grandchildren Andrew Devine (Melanie), Matthew Devine (Lauren), Megan Lessard and Collin Devine, great-granddaughter Julie. He was the brother of the late Barbara Haynes (late John), late Jackie Brandreth (late Brandy), late Vivian Stanutz (late George), Linda Harkins (Woody), late Sylvia ‘’Sibby’’ Miles (late Bud), T.M (Mickey) Devine (Marge), late Lance Devine (late Joan), Frank Devine (Bonnie) and John Devine (Bev). He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also predeceased by his father Thomas (Mac) Devine and his Mother , Helena Devine (nee Duffy).
His greatest joy in life was in time spent with his wife, family and close friends.
Gary was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing golf at Abitibi, in New Liskeard, in Michigan and all over the world.
The cottage at Nellie Lake was also a very special place in Gary’s heart.
Family was everything and Gary was so proud to be part of the Devine, St. James & Duffy families.
Friends and family are welcome to join us for a Celebration of Gary’s Life. It will be held at the Abitibi Golf Club in Iroquois Falls on Saturday November 14th, 2020 between 2 to 5 pm.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Anson General Hospital Foundation or to the Health Sciences North Foundation and would be greatly appreciated.
