Obituary of Garry James Blevins
With heavy hearts and deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Garry Blevins on Monday, December 28, 2020. Garry is survived by his loving wife Eva of 33 years. He leaves behind his children Sherry Lynn, Steven, Michelle, Todd, and his special grandchildren. Dear brother of Robert (Louise). Predeceased by his parents Ivan and Christina (Hein), his brothers Ivan and Allen and his sister Eleanor.
Garry quietly cared for those around him and will be profoundly missed by his extended family. Son-In-law of the late Walter and Helen Hroch. Brother-in-law of Dagmar Planting (Peter), Peggy Jones (Andy), Helen Dahl (Glen), Peter Hroch, Late Rick Hroch (Bev), Janet Carroll (Michael). Garry will also be missed by his four-legged friend Macy who can never get enough treats and who will forever be a “puppy”.
Garry loved each of his many nieces and nephews, you could see this in the funny faces he would make or in the loving way only he could tease. He was known for his love of tractors and his pet goats. Garry always had a project or a list on the go and you could always hear Eva say, “He’s in the garage.”
A heartfelt thank you to Kim, Michael, and Joel for all the help and time spent with Garry, it meant so much to him and was truly appreciated. A special thank you to Rob Downing, the first responders and the emergency room doctors and nurses for their selfless actions.
Private family services will be held at a later date when it is safer to be together. Memorial donations made to ARCH would be appreciated by the family.
