1939 – 2020
It is with great sorrow that the family of Garry Smith announce his passing on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Health Science North at the age of 81.
Garry is survived by loving wife of 59 years, Patricia (nee Pichuta), his children Garry (Darlene), Scott (Paddy), and Steven (Takako). Proud Pops to Morgana, Ryan, Tori, Mako, Courtney and Kai. Cherished great grandfather to Hunter and Tyson. He also leaves behind his sister Rae Kingsbury and brother Ken Smith (Lil). Predeaced by his parents Len and Louisa Pearl Smith and his in-laws Joe and Agnes Pichuta. Family was important to Garry who had a profound love for his family.
He was a longtime member of the Porcupine Dante Club and was a board member of the Cochrane Timiskaming Resource Centre as well as NEOFACS.
Respecting his wishes cremation will take place. A private family service will be held with a celebration of life to follow later. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to LESSARD-STEPHENS FUNERAL HOME.
