It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian F Gallant, beloved husband of Donna Gallant. He passed away suddenly in the early hours of February 8, 2020 at the age of 71, surrounded by many family and friends.
Brian will be lovingly remembered by his wife Donna, 2 children Russell (Angie), Eric (Courtney), brother Dave (Linda), sister in law Heather, and grandchildren Troy, Connor, Madison, and Brookelyn.
Brian is predeceased by his parents Doreen, and Arthur Gallant, Sister Marcy Lehman (Paul), and brother Lyle Gallant.
Brian was born in Saint Boniface Manitoba January,18th 1949 to his loving parents. The family relocated to Lethbridge, Alberta where the family flourished in the community. Brian met his wife Donna in his early 20’s and married soon after, they recently celebrated 47 wonderful years together in 2019. Brian was always an active member in the community through his affiliations with little league baseball, Lethbridge judo club, southern Alberta art gallery, allied arts council, knights of Columbus, and countless other community groups.
Brian touched a lot of lives through his 4 decades in the waterworks business. Brian had a willingness to help any of his clients at a moments notice, at times putting his life on hold to solve an issue really showed his dedication to serve others. It wasn’t uncommon for Brian to be stopped just about anywhere in the community for a chat and he could be found most evenings enjoying a bottomless cup of coffee with a friend.
Brian celebrated many milestones in his life but having grandchildren was one of his most cherished accomplishments. Brian loved his family and friends deeply and showed it in various ways. If it was showing up to a friends house with a coffee, or repairing the neighbors sink Brian was always willing to put other’s first. Brian lead with love in his life and each act of kindness showed how genuine he was. Brian will be missed dearly by so many family, friends, and community members. We can all rest assured we have another angel in heaven to watch over us.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, February 15th, 2020 at the Loyal Order of Moose Hall, 1401 5th Ave N Lethbridge, Alberta.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or any of the local pet rescue groups.
