Obituary
After a long battle with cancer, we sadly announce the death of Françoise Bourdages at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Edwin (2005). Cherished mother of Lori (Rob), Lynn (Jean), Lee-Ann (Jason) and the late Philip (2009). Dear sister of Normand (Mae) and Paul (Dianne). She will be sadly missed by her 2 grandchildren; Jason (Donna), Kyle, and 3 great-grandchildren; Jacob, Joshua and Tyler. She will also be missed by her 3 best friends Claudette, Pauline and Lise. Predeceased by her parents Philippe and Irene (née Tanguay) Asselin.
Françoise was born in Welland and worked at Canada Forge, Atlas Steels, City Hall in the water department, as an Avon representative for over 35 years and as a member of TOPS ON #696 and #489 Welland. She was a member of BR4 Legion. She enjoyed Bingo, Friday night darts and playing cards with friends at Residence Richelieu.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to WELLAND FUNERAL HOME. Keeping with Françoise’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, Myeloma Canada, and Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
