Francis William Murphy
1947-2020
The death occurred at Western Hospital, Alberton on Saturday,
October 3, 2020 of Francis William Murphy of Phillips Residence,
Alberton aged 73. Francis was born in Alberton on June 3, 1947, son of
the late Fred and Marion (Costain) Murphy. Francis was raised by his
grandparents the late Ingham and Mae Costain.
Francis is survived by his former wife and dear friend
Bernice Biggar, O’Leary. Daughter Michele, BC, siblings
Bobby (Roselyn) O’Neill, Cape Breton; Stella (Larry) Buote,
Price, Quebec, Elizabeth O’Connell, North Bay, ON, his first
cousins Mike (Doreen) Costain, Freetown who was raised as a brother
and Geneva (David) Simmons, Summerside who was raised as a sister. He
is also survived by his former in laws Debbie Phillips (Floyd Wells),
Knutsford; Pam (Terry) Chaisson, Wellington; Richard Biggar (Debbie
Sobey), Mt Carmel and Lana Biggar, Alberton.
Predeceased by
his parents, grandparents and brother Herman.
Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel,
O’Leary, due to Covid 19 restrictions, visiting hours and
funeral will be held on Thursday in the Chapel at 2pm for invited
guests only. Interment to follow in the Miminegash United Church
Cemetery.
