FLOYD SAYESE
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother Floyd Sayese on July 23, 2020.
Floyd was a devoted husband to Lindy, the love of his life for 42 years; his children Pam (Mark), Jamie (Cody) and Cody (Alicia) were honoured to call him dad. Floyd also had one grandson, Everett, and was excited for the arrival of his second grandson in September.
He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Dianne (Les) Neufeldt, Marilyn Deschambeault, Linda (Steve) Beddow, Lorna Tait (Rick Granvelle), Lawrence (Nancy) Sayese, Joyce Sayese, George (Stephanie) Sayese and his Uncle Joe Deschambeault along with numerous nieces and nephews. He leaves this world to join his parents Roderick & Irene Sayese, his big sister Bernice and his two brothers Gordie & Norman.
Floyd would give you the shirt off his back and did not have a hateful bone in his body. If anyone said they hated something in his presence, he would always respond “You don’t really hate it”. He lived his life full of love and compassion but was quick with a joke or terrible dad joke. “Did you get your hair cut?” “No, I got them all cut”. Cue the groan and eye roll.
Floyd was so many things to so many people. He was a friend to all he met, a mentor, a confidant, a teaser, a family historian, a supporter of fundraisers for people he didn’t even know, the sickening one who just couldn’t give you a straight answer, the guy with shifty eyes, the guy that always talked about eye rolling when he did it himself more than anyone else and the fastest Googler we knew. He was the rock of the family.
Give thanks for the great laughs and wonderful memories you created with Floyd and cherish those in your heart.
