McNicol, Florence Elizabeth (nee Pasick)
It is with sadness but with so many special memories to remember her by that the family of Florence McNicol shares her passing on September 14, 2020 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her beloved husband Roy (2011), Florence was the devoted and loved mother of Sharon and the late Doug, Nancy, Graham, Bonnie and the late Norm and the cherished grandmother of Missy and Jeff. Mom is lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Eileen (wife of her late dear brother John). Mom was predeceased by her parents Mary and Martin Pasick, her brother Bill and her sister Valerie. For many years Mom was a buyer and salesperson at London Silk and Woolens where she made lasting friendships with her co-workers and the hundreds of clients she served. She loved to spend hours in her garden creating a landscape that people would stop to admire and enjoy and always looked forward to her weekly bridge games with her friends. Mom was a life well lived. She taught us the value of hard work, the importance of family and friends and how to live life with a full heart and gratitude. She was surrounded by a loving family and her life was enriched by the many wonderful friendships she enjoyed over the years. We loved her and will miss her dearly. A private family service is being held. At 16 years of age when working at the Brantford Cordage she spotted Dad and said « I’m going to marry that boy Roy one day ». And she did. On May 3rd, 2021 which would have been Mom and Dad’s 74th wedding anniversary the family will gather to celebrate their lives and love as we lay them to rest together for eternity at Mount Hope Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, 519-752-4331. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A tree will be planted in memory of Florence in the Beckett-Glaves Memorial Forest.
