Obituary of Fiorenzo Mazzotta
Fio passed away peacefully at The Village Long Term Care Home in Hanover, on Friday, August 21, 2020. Born in Lago, Cosenza, Italy, on June 21, 1944, Fiorenzo Michael “Fio” Mazzotta of Hanover, formerly of Dornoch, was in his 77th year.
Beloved husband of the late Darlene (née McGowan) Mazzotta (2013). Loving dad of Stanley Mazzotta (Kerry Sprague), and Nicholas Mazzotta, all of Dornoch. Cherished Grandpa of Madelyn and Vincent. Dear brother of Assunta, Saveria, Joe, Onoria, Alfonso and Carmella. Fiorenzo will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by his parents Francesco and Silvia Mazzotta, and his brother Luciano Mazzotta.
Cremation is taking pace and a private memorial service will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th St. W., Owen Sound, N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492), on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at 10 a.m. The service can be viewed via livestream by selecting the ‘LIVE STREAMING’ menu option at the top right corner of the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca).
