Fernando Losier
1949 ~ 2020
Moncton, NB – Fernando Losier, 71, passed away peacefully at his residence, and surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, October 9, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Saint-Pons, NB, he was the son of the late Luc A. and the late Alice Losier (born Basque).
Fernando was a passionate barber for 52 years, working at “Adrien’s Hairstyling” in Moncton with his co-workers and friends, Adrien and Dolan. His clients were very important to him. People will remember him as a kind-hearted man, he appreciated the simple things in life and would always put is family and people he loved first. Fernando loved to take long walks, and go watch the Wildcats hockey games.
Fernando will be sadly missed by his wife, Suzelle Losier (born LeBouthillier); his son, Daniel (Anne) of Dieppe; his brother, Bertrand (Nanette) of Dartmouth, NS; his sister, Mona St-Pierre (Gilles) of Tracadie-Sheila; his granddaughter, Emily (Eric); his godson, Jayden LeBouthillier; his aunts, Eva Basque (godmother) of Saint-Pons and Jeannette Boudreau (late Jean-Paul) of Sudbury, ON; his father-in-law, Ralph LeBouthillier (late Lorenza) of Lavillette; also by several cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Geneva (born Lirette) in 1987; his son, Denis in 2016 and his brother, Alcide in 1966.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton, on Tuesday, October 13th, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm. Only 5-6 people at a time will be allowed in. Everyone attending the visitation will be mandated to wear a mask.
Funeral Service will be limited to only immediate family, on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 2 pm at Notre-Dame-de-Grâce RC Church in Moncton. The service will be streamed and can be viewed live on the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PassageFH/ for all others to participate from home. (click on yellow link to access page). The service will also remain available on Passage Facebook page following the service.
A donation can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, CHU Dumont Foundation (Oncology) or to the Parish.
