At Maxville Manor on September 6th, 2020, 6 days before her 94th birthday. Predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Lloyd Nixon. Dear Mother of Bev Nixon (Linda) of St. Thomas, Donna Nixon of Ottawa, Glenn Nixon (Penny) of Dunvegan and Lois MacNaughton (Don) of Dalkeith. Dear Sister of Lillian Perkins of Es and Helen Cameron of Maxville. Predeceased by two brothers, Gordon Allen and Ken Allen, two brothers-in-law, Irwin Perkins and Donald Cameron, and one sister-in-law, Jane Allen. Eunice was very proud of her 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Eunice raised her family on Skye Road near Dunvegan for 58 years, before moving to Glen Gardens in Maxville. After volunteering for many years at the Maxville Manor, she finally called it home in April of 2019. Special thanks to all the staff at the Manor for their excellent care and companionship. She was a proud member of the Women’s Institute, Ladies Aid and the Kenyon Presbyterian Church. She was a 4-H Leader and on the Maxville Fair Board. She had a love for growing flowers and could often be found sitting in her beautiful gardens. She loved to read, sew, quilt, bake, garden and listen to Celtic music. She loved farming, milking cows and feeding the calves and chickens. She was especially fond of her cats and dogs. A private family funeral will be held in Kenyon Presbyterian Church. A public internment will follow in the Kenyon Presbyterian Church Cemetery on Friday, September 11th , 2020 at 2:45 pm. Masks will be required as per recent guidelines. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main St. Maxville (613-527-2898). Donations to the Kenyon Presbyterian Church would be appreciated by the family.
