Elsie was born in Tisdale SK to Walter and Christobel Addison. She caught polio during the epidemic and proceeded to show how strong of a person she was. A survivor of polio and the iron lung, Elsie learned to function as the polio left her.
She married Clair Stockly on December 10, 1966, in Regina SK, where they quickly became foster parents. This led them to adopt both a daughter and a son.
Elsie’s strength allowed her to raise two children while building her pet store, which she operated for more than 23 years. When the pet store closed, Elsie felt she was too young to retire, so she became a Hot-Shot driver, a store clerk, and then a driver for Enterprise Rentals until her retirement.
After Clair passed in 2013, Elsie moved to Montgomery Place. There, she blossomed, and gained several new friends, becoming busier with a very active social life.
Elsie is survived by her daughter Tricia (Shaun) Russell, her son Terry, her brother Frank, brother-in-law Carl Leathers, six grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Services. A private family viewing was held. Cremation and interment to follow at a later date.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Elsie Christobel Stockly May 1 2020..
