Obituary of Ellen Elizabeth Laffin
LAFFIN, Ellen Elizabeth -age 83 of Noel passed away September 13, 2020 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Densmore Mills she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Bernetta “Babe” (Densmore) Crossman.
Ellen was a long-standing member of the Noel Fire Department Auxiliary. She was a former employee of Withrow MacMillan Funeral Home, East Noel. At one time, she looked after the Noel Elementary School lunch program. Ellen was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards. She was “Gram Laffin” to a lot of kids she babysat over the years.
Ellen is survived by her daughter, Joy, Lower Sackville; son, Jack and daughter in-law, Angie, Noel; grandchildren, Melody, Charlottetown, PEI; Douglas, Kentville; sister, Dolly Hennigar, Densmore Mills; brothers in-law, Junie Hennigar, Noel; and Glendon (Phyllis) Laffin, ON, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Teddy and twin sister, Etta.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Ettinger Funeral Home, Shubenacadie. Funeral service will be held 4pm Thursday, September 17th in Noel Cemetery, Noel, Rev. Gerry Kerr officiating.
