1943-2020
The passing of Ellen Jane (Jackson) Henry, wife of the late Gary Henry
of St. George NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint
John NB on December 6, 2020. Born in St. George NB on April 30, 1943,
she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Mary (Lynch) Jackson. A
loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Ellen is
survived by her sons: Brian Henry of St. George NB and Hal Henry
(Patricia Stevens) of St. George NB; grandchildren: Cory, Melissa,
Jonathan and Rebecca; great-grandchildren: Raine, Meagan, River and
Violet; sisters: Pauline Costello of British Columbia, Claire Mosher
of Fredericton NB and Nancy Mullin of St. George NB; several nieces,
nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Ellen was
predeceased by one grandson: Adam.
Prior to retirement, Ellen worked as a self employed hair stylist. She
enjoyed reading, crocheting and meeting up with her friends at Tims.
Ellen was a member of the Granite Town Seniors and the Granite Gems
Red Hatters. While her friendship will be greatly missed by many, she
will always be loved by all who knew her.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Ellen’s wishes a
private graveside service will be held at the St. George Rural
Cemetery, St. George NB at a later date. In Ellen’s memory, donations
to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s
choice would be appreciated by the family.
