Obituary of Elizabeth Joan Winter
Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Maple View on Monday, October 5, 2020 at the age of 92. Predeceased by her loving husband John. Cherished mother of Angela (Rick Dunbar), Michelle, and Susan (Peter Moeller). Always remembered by her grandchildren Dawn (James), Mark (Lesley), Cheryl, John (Alicia), Daniel, Evan, Faye (Nick), Gary (Katja), Joshua (Kim), Rebecca (Ian), Melanie (Keith), and William, along with her many great-grand children. Sister of Audrey (special friend Leslie) of the United Kingdom. Auntie Liz to Hugh, Lis (Lee), and Jackie (Andy). Will be forever missed by many close friends and extended family, especially Donnie “favourite son-in-law” and Mona Caswell, Val Netherton, Gordie and Shirley Thomas, and Bruce Kenny and Cathy Bennett. In accordance with Liz’s wishes, no visitation will be held. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Extendicare Maple View Nursing Home (Twin Lakes) for all their care and compassion. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
