Elizabeth Ellie Grace Robichaud Saturday September 12th 2020

Robichaud, Ellie (Elizabeth) Grace October 1, 2003 – September 12, 2020
It is with broken hearts that Gilles and Coralee (Moses) Robichaud announce the sudden passing of their beloved daughter Ellie. Ellie was born in Yarmouth and raised in South Ohio with her brother, Nathan, and her extended Moses family, including many cousins who were also her close friends. It was her home in South Ohio that inspired her love of the outdoors, and exploring the woods, climbing trees, playing capture the flag with her cousins, and camping in the rain with her dad that were some of her favourite pastimes growing up.
Throughout her school years, Ellie’s compassion, generosity and her great capacity for fun attracted many close friends, some of whom were her friends from the beginning of their school years. She was a great correspondent and maintained relationships with friends from treks, competitions, teams and summer camps. Ellie maintained a high academic standing and was able to compete in Heritage Fairs, spelling bees, and speech competitions. One such competition resulted in Ellie winning a week at a French summer camp on the Magdalen Islands, which she returned from with a dream to return there someday to make pottery on the beach.
From the time she was a small child, Ellie loved to meet new people and engage in new adventures. Swimming with the Yarmouth Y Whitecaps was one of her favourite things, and she often described the feeling of freedom that came to her in the water. Cheerleading was also a great love of Ellie’s, and she loved the feeling of nerves and excitement brought on by stepping on to the blue mat. Travelling was another of Ellie’s favourite things. Her favourite trip was to Wales, where she climbed castle ruins and met some of her cousins for the first time.
Some of the best days of the year for Ellie were the ones spent with her Robichaud family. Christmas and Easter meant huge gatherings of aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. The Canada Day pool party was also a favourite, especially when attended by her “American » cousins.
Ellie had love abounding for her family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Gilles and Coralee (Moses) Robichaud and brother, Nathan; Aunt Liz (Moses) Sullivan; Uncle Brian (Tamara) Moses; Uncle Jamie Moses; Uncle Andrew (Sarah) Shupe; Uncle Charles Robichaud; Aunt Deborah (Andrew) Bourque; Aunt Yvette (Mike) Mooney; Uncle Maurice (Wendy) Robichaud; Aunt Nicole (Jeff) Gushue; Uncle Yvon (Denise) Robichaud; Grandparents Benoit and Anne Marie (d’Eon) Robichaud; Grandmother Anne (Mathias) Moses; and many, many beloved cousins. She is pre-deceased by her sister Caroline; Aunt Sarah (Moses) Shupe; grandfather Thomas Moses.
