November 5, 1948 – August 12, 2020
Eileen Ann Traill, late of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
Eileen Ann Traill passed away on August 12, 2020 into the arms of God at the age of 71.
Born in Briarlea, SK on November 5, 1948 to Floyd Raymond Eytcheson, and Kathleen Emily (Harris) (Eytcheson) Sanderson. Eileen grew up in Briarlea, and then moved to Red Wing Terrace to attend Red Wing School.
Eileen took ninth grade at Prince Albert Technical High School and continued on to business classes there. Afterwards she worked at A&W as a car hop, delivering meals on roller skates. Eileen dated her sweetheart, Wes, all through her school years. She married her best friend Wes Traill on May 4, 1968 at St. George’s Anglican Church in Prince Albert. They celebrated their 51st Wedding anniversary this spring. Shortly after their wedding, Eileen and Wes moved to Nanaimo, BC where they started their family. Wesley Jr. was born in 1968, and Keri-Ann in 1971. They enjoyed many friendships, and time with Wes’ family on The Coast, but came home to the Prairies to be close to Eileen’s family in 1975.
Eileen ran a home day care, and had many, many children in her care over the years. Children were always a joy and brought much love into her life.
Eileen enjoyed her cabin at Candle Lake and being able to travel to the States a few times with family, making some wonderful memories. She had a love for music that took her to Elvis’ Graceland, and to Nashville, TN.
Eileen had the biggest heart for her grandchildren. She spent hours with them when they were small and became friends with them as they became adults. In 2011 she had the privilege of becoming a great grandma, and that love blossomed all over again. Her great grandchildren were her biggest joy.
Eileen is survived by her husband: Wes Traill Sr; their children: Wesley Traill Jr. (Mynra) and Keri-Ann Whitrow-Papp (Johnnie); her siblings: Ted Eytcheson (Carole) and Joyce Ruoho; her sisters-in-law: Florence Eytcheson and Gwen Eytcheson; and brother-in-law Bruce Deinstadt (Pat); her grandchildren: Kathlene (Tim Leveque), Emily, Keagen and Matthieu Traill, Marc, Shamyn and Shaina Blando, Shalaine (Shane Mccloy), Bryanne and Tru Papp; her great grandchildren: Rayne Baliski and Aurora Leveque; as well as countless friends and relatives.
