(1933 – 2020)
It is with heavy hearts that we, the family of Edmond Joseph Caissie announces his passing, at the age of 87, on Tuesday December 22, 2020 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born on May 14, 1933 in Rogersville, he was the son of the late Maxime Caissie and of the late Léocadie Goguen.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gladys Caissie (born Doiron); three daughters: Janice (late André) Babin of Rogersville, Cathy (late Benoit) DesRoches of Collette, and Pauline (Kenneth) Caissie of Rogersville; six grand-children: Marissa (Paul- André) Babin of Saint-Charles, Jean-Luc Babin of Halifax, Marie-Josée (Jaël) DesRoches of Moncton, Julianne DesRoches of Moncton, Dominique Caissie of Rogersville and Samuel (Véronique) Caissie of Richibucto; one great- grandson, Lucas Savoie of Saint-Charles and one brother, Vincent (Louina) Caissie.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by many siblings: Livain (late Helena) Caissie of Moncton, Gérald (late Armande) Caissie of Sept-Îles, QC, Louise (late Edmond) Robichaud of Rogersville, Paul (late Aline) Caissie of Massachusetts, Jeanne (late Louis) Babineau of Moncton, Fernande (late James) Brady of Moncton, and one half sister, Elodie Daigle (late François) Richard.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, viewing and funeral will be held by invitation only. Public health regulations must be respected. Face masks and social distancing are mandatory. The family will be receiving family and friends at the funeral home ‘La Colombe’, 11325, hwy 126 in Rogersville, on Tuesday December 29, 2020 at 1pm until the departure for the funeral. The funeral will be held at the Saint-François-de-Sales RC church in Rogersville, on the same day at 3pm.
The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of ‘La Colombe’ Funeral Cooperative Ltd, of Tracadie.
