Obituary of Doug Brown
Entered into rest on Thursday May 14, 2020 at home with family by his side following a short illness. Douglas Lawson Brown of Brockville aged 81 years. Beloved husband of Gloria Brown (Barrie), loving father of Shawn Brown (Missy) and Christie LaBrash (Jon). Cherished grandfather of Maddie and Evan Brown and Jack LaBrash. Doug is survived by his sister Margaret Weir, sisters-in-law Marjorie Brown, Gail Jackson and Chris Blair, brothers-in-law David Barrie (Beverlee), Kevin Barrie (Alex) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents James and Carrie (Edwards) Brown, his brother Gordon Brown, brothers-in-law Purvis Weir and Gordon Barrie.
The family wants to thank Dr. Premji and the health care team who enabled us to care for Doug at home. Your warm personal support and care will always be appreciated and remembered.
Due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 virus funeral arrangements will be private with burial at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Ingleside at a later date. In memory of Doug, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
