Dorothy Valerie Billington
1924-2020
Dorothy V. Billington of Upper Kingsclear, NB, wife of the late Rev.
George R. Billington, passed away January 30, 2020 at York Care
Centre. Dorothy was born at Millville, NB in 1924, a daughter of the
late Herman D. and Vena I. (Jones) Flemming.
She is survived by her children, Garry Billington (Sharon) of
Fredericton, NB and Susan Howell (Charles) of Upper Kingsclear, NB;
her grandchildren, Rev. Chad Billington (Heidi), Douglas Billington
(Arcy), Amaiyah Martin (Raymond), Benjamin Howell, Matthew Howell
(Karla) and Peter Howell (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Savanna,
Zoe, Eliya, Nathaniel, Violet and Ruby Billington, Josie, Izabelle and
Phillip Martin, Austin, George, Henry and Edward Howell; a
sister-in-law, Hazel Flemming and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Rev.
George Billington; a daughter, Judith Irene; sisters Geraldine Liston
(late Willard), Glenna Liston (late Owen), Amber Piper (late Garth)
and Lorna McGuigan (late Ronald); brothers, Willard Flemming and
Murray Flemming (late Margaret).
Visiting hours will be held at the Upper Kingsclear Baptist Church, 15
Mazerolle Settlement Road, Upper Kingsclear, NB on Thursday, February
6, 2020 from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday,
February 7, 2020 at 11 am from the church with Rev. Chad Billington
and Pastor Peter Valji officiating. A reception will follow at the
church. Interment will be at a later date at Hawkins Corner
Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Dorothy, the family
has suggested the Upper Kingsclear Baptist Church or Gideon
Bibles.
