Dorothy Isabel Winch of Simcoe, Ontario

It is with extreme sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Dorothy Isabel Winch on March 21, 2020 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husband Robert (2010) and her sister Jean Smith (2010). Dear mother of Deborah Renton (Steve) of Burlington, Gary Winch (Jill) of Waterdown and Bruce Winch (Gillian) of Oakville. Cherished grandmother to Matthew (Kaleigh), Allison, Carly, Brooklynn (Rob), Davis, Robert and Denver. Dorothy was also great grandmother to Jackson and Easton. Dorothy graduated from Teacher’s college in Ottawa in 1953 and continued supply teaching in Simcoe until her late 70s. She loved her gardens, playing bridge, curling, shopping and travelling with Bob. She was a member of St. James United Church, Simcoe and Past President of the UCW at St. David’s Church in Woodstock. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and supported them in all their activities. Dorothy will be greatly missed. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be announced at a later date.
