Hinze, Dorothea Jean (Nee Goodfellow) – It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dorothea Hinze on Wednesday, January 1st, 2020, in her 89th year at the Belleville General Hospital surrounded by the comfort of family. Predeceased by parents Harold Goodfellow, Lena McGrath, and Stepfather Art Smith. Beloved wife of Edmund Hinze. Loving mother to Rodney Hinze (Carol), and Cora McKay (Bob). Predeceased by siblings Douglas Goodfellow (Dorothy), and Donald Goodfellow (Late Pat). Grandmother to Shawn McKay, Ryan McKay, Jeremy Hinze, and Brad Hinze. Great grandmother to Declan, Ava, Jackson, and Parker. Dorothea was a member of the Eastern Star for many years as well as an employee of the original Tim Hortons in Belleville. In keeping with Dorothea’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Ave., Belleville (613-968-5588). A celebration of life will be held at a later time. If desired, donations to the Belleville General Hospital Foundation Oncology Department would be greatly appreciated by the family.
