Obituary of Doris Johanna McIntyre
Our family would like to announce the passing of Doris Johanna (Tresch) McIntyre. She passed away peacefully on May 14, 2020 in G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital at the age of 85.
Doris was born on March 24, 1935 to Johannes (Hans) and Elise Tresch in Karlsruhe, Germany. In December of 1957, at the age of 22, she made the journey by boat to Canada where she docked in Montreal, QC. She then made her way west where she settled in Quesnel, BC in the mid 1960’s. This is where she raised her 4 children and had many different jobs throughout her life. Doris loved the outdoors and the beauty of nature. She will always be remembered for her love of all living things, especially her fondness for cats.
Doris was predeceased by her parents, Johannes (Hans) and Elise, as well as her younger brother Hans.
She is survived by her Children; Bryan (Elizena), Richard, Connie, and Mark, Grandchildren; Tyler (April), Shera, Austin (Sophia), her Great Grandchildren; Taylor, Dawson and Elaina, as well as her Sister-in-Law and Nieces in Germany. Doris will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital for their care and support during her stay.
There will be no service at this time. A Memorial Tea will be scheduled for a later date.
