Obituary of Donna Verdon
Passed away peacefully at her home in Barrie on June 9, 2020. Born in Owen Sound, on August 26, 1950, Donna Gail Verdon (née Hazen) of Barrie, formerly of Owen Sound, was in her 70th year.
Loving mother of Jeff Verdon (Jennifer Boland) of Calgary and Adam Verdon (Cara Verdon-Swan) of Barrie. Cherished grandma of Charlotte, Aubrey, Cole, Ethan, Mason and Chase. Dear sister of Barb Fleming (Rodger Green), Paula Best (Bob), Doug Hazen, and sister-in-law Evelyn Hazen. Dear aunt of Russell Hazen (Ashley Truong), Kristen Hazen (John Borowski) and Brian Robinson (Brooke Shackleton).
Predeceased by her parents Cleo and Beth Hazen, and by her brother John Hazen.
Donna was a dedicated nurse who cared deeply for her patients and would go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure she was providing the best possible care.
A private graveside funeral service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound, at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492.
