Donna Winnifred Rose McInnis
1955-2020
Donna Winnifred Rose
McInnis – 65, Bible
Hill, passed away surrounded in love with her family at her side, on
Wednesday morning, October 28, 2020, at Halifax Infirmary, QEII,
Halifax. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Merle and
Gladys (Smith) Sullivan.
Donna worked as a CCA at Hillcrest Manor, Glenview Lodge and
finally at The Mira Long Term Care Centre for a combined total of
40-plus years; she valued the friendships that she made with her
« work cousins » and was proud to be an advocate for
worker’s rights with Unifor Local 2107.
She absolutely loved Christmas and would prepare for it all
year long buying presents, new decorations and in the weeks leading up
to it, gift wrapping, writing cards, baking and enjoying the sights
and sounds. Family was so important to her and she will be remembered
by all as a warm, loving, kind-hearted and caring daughter, mother,
grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She held a special place in her
heart for her beloved chihuahua, Minnie and enjoyed spending time at
her cottage in Nuttby.
Donna is survived by her children, Laura (David) Westlake,
Truro; Angi McInnis (Paul MacLellan), Bible Hill; Brad McInnis, Cape
Breton; Kim MacLeod (Daniel Richard), Mont Carmel, Prince Edward
Island; former husband and friend, Gerard McInnis (Michelene Fraser),
Bible Hill; grandchildren, Emily and Alyssa McInnis, Robbie and Alex
Westlake, Michael and Morgan MacLeod; siblings, Harry (Debbie)
Sullivan, Nuttby; Alan (Janet) Sullivan, Kentville; Brian (Sherry)

(Ginny) Sullivan, Saskatchewan; several nieces and
nephews.
Special thanks are extended to Dr. David Pugsley and Dr.
Emmanuel Idoko, family physicians, Dr. Adrienne Weeks, Neurosurgeon
