Obituary of Donald McNally
The death of D. Boyd McNally, husband of Cheryl (Pickard) McNally of Quispamsis, occurred on Sunday, May 31, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born on May 1, 1949, in Perth Andover, NB, he was a son of the late Donald and Katie (Pedersen) McNally. Boyd met his wife Cheryl at the age of 5 in Perth Andover and in 1968 they were married. Boyd was employed as a Shift Supervisor at Courtney Bay Power Plant for many years, retiring in 2007. Boyd enjoyed boating, bowling, playing pool, fishing, hunting and camping with his family at Grand Lake. He was a member of Kings Church, Quispamsis.
Besides his loving wife, Boyd is survived by his children, Tracey McNally (Joe), and Jeremy McNally (Mina) both of Saint John, brother Randy McNally (Debbie) of Aroostook and Paula McNally (Yves) of Grand Falls, grandchildren; Jessica (Anthony), Joshua, Samuel, Nadia, Leyla, and David, great granddaughter Brynne, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Boyd was predeceased by his brother Ronnie, son Todd, and grandson Jonathan.
The family wishes to thank the staff and nurses at the Palliative Care Unit, and to Kings Church for all their care, condolences and prayers during this time.
Arrangements under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). A private family service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Due to current health advisories the service will be livestreamed to the public. Interment to take place at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Kings Church, Saint John Regional Hospital – Palliative Care Unit or to 100 Huntley Street.
