Obituary for Don Dunlop
It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Don Dunlop on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at C.E.E. Hospital of Bluewater Health, Petrolia, at the age of 57. He was a loving husband to Jennifer Dunlop (nee Maitland), an amazing father to Mathieson (Alyssa), Jessica, Nicholas and Jacob. Loving son to the late Bob (2008) and Margaret Dunlop. Survived by his siblings, Bruce, Jane, Carol, Ken (Janet), Steven (Linda), Rob, and Anne (Kelly) Humphrey and his mother-in-law, Ruby Maitland (the late Larry, 2011) and sister-in-law, Tammy (Shawn) Lindsey and brother-in-law, Rod Maitland. He was the uncle to ten nieces and nephews and great-uncle to four with one on the way.
Don was a dairy farmer in Dawn Township until he sold the Jersey cows 8 years ago when he started working for Waterville. He was die hard Habs fan, and his household was split 50/50 Toronto. He drove a tractor for 40 years in the Alvinston/Petrolia Fall Fair, rain or shine.
A private funeral service will be streamed live on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Find us on Facebook. Interment to follow in Oil Springs Cemetery.
