OGILVIE, Dillon Christopher Charles ~ age 26 of Kingston, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at home. Born in Kentville, he was a son of Stacy Lynn Amero-Ogilvie; his dad, the late Robby Ogilvie and father, Christopher Scotney. Dillon loved mechanic work and working on cars, especially Chevy trucks. He loved his children and family deeply and was a fun loving, easy going guy with a big heart. He loved to joke and make people laugh and left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him. Dillon is survived by his mother, Stacy Amero-Ogilvie (Bruce Kaulbach), Paradise; his father, Christopher (Kim) Scotney, North Williamston; daughter, Kristen and son, Charlie; sister, Katlyn Scotney, North Williamston; brothers, Adam Ogilvie, Kingston; Kyle Scotney (Chelsey Reay) North Williamston; Brandon Scotney (Mattie Smith), New Albany; paternal grandmothers, Janet Hill, Waterville and Ruth Ogilvie-Fitch, Kingston; maternal grandfather, Roland Amero, Canning; maternal great-grandfather, Charlie Bent, Middleton; and all the extended family. Besides his dad, Robby; Dillon was also predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Zelma Smith; maternal great-grandmother, Mary Bent; and paternal grandfather, Merrill Ogilvie. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service for family and invited guests will be held on Saturday, December 5th in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, toll free 1-855-825-3448 with Rev. Dr. Danny Smith officiating. In keeping with health safety protocols, face masks and social distancing must be followed. For those unable to attend in person, a live webcast of the service will be available for viewing on the funeral home website on Saturday at 1:55 p.m. AST, by selecting the “Live Stream” option at the top of the home page.
