Dianne’s Obituary
Dianne Maureen (Evans) Nelson was born April 12, 1947 and passed from this life into the loving arms of her best friend and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Friday August 28, 2020, surrounded by her family, at Abbotsford Regional Hospital after a valiant battle with cancer. In heaven she has now joined her father James Evans, brother Corey, as well as many other relatives who finished the race before her. Dianne was the loving wife of Elroy of 54 years, a dedicated and loving mother to her four children: Dwayne (Tammy), Lori-Anne (Barry), April (Dwight) and Crystal-Lee (Brendan), and the best grandma to 15 grandchildren; Levi, Kennedy (Emanuel), Jordan (Eileen), Moriah (Brandon), Alexandria (Cole), Nelson, Landon, Austin, Abbie, Adeline, Andraya, Olivia, Evan, Owen and Elena.
Family time was very important to her and she never missed an opportunity to get together. Dianne’s life was a testimony to everyone she met. She touched many people especially in her 18 month journey through cancer, sharing the gospel right up to her last days in the hospital. Above all, Dianne’s desire was for all to know that they are a deeply loved child of God and the penalty Jesus paid on the cross was a result of that love. She would challenge you “to do the research”.
