Diane Lalonde (née Ménard)
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom, Diane Lalonde (née Ménard) on Friday, November 13th, 2020. Diane was born in Plaisance, Quebec in 1929, married Roger Lalonde in 1948, and moved to Sudbury where they built a life together and raised their family. Mom was a talented seamstress and worked at Woolco in the fabric department for over 30 years, then retired. Religion was very important to our mom. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, and attended Mass every Sunday. She was a member of the CWL and always helped out with church functions. Beloved wife of Roger Lalonde predeceased. Loving mother to Giselle Jones (David), Carmen Champagne, Monique Tomassini predeceased (Dennis), Alice Armstrong (Murray), Roger Lalonde Jr., Lise Worthington (Ian) and Louise McNabb (Paul). Precious grandmother to Dori predeceased, Erin (John), Allison (Jason), Michael (Shannon), Ryan (Nadine), Kevin (Sarah), Adele (Patrick), Renee, Tyler, Bradley, Megan (Nathan) and Emily and many great grandchildren. Dear daughter of Orphir and Corinne (Rochon) Ménard both predeceased. Dear sister of Blanche, Lucien, Rolland, Benoit, Jean, Emmanuel, Lionel all predeceased and Aline. Heartfelt thank you to all the staff from the Lodge at Pioneer Manor for their patience and great care of our mom. Special thank you to Lateifa, Maria, Cody and Courtney; your devotion to our mom will never be forgotten.
