Delfim’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Delfim Lopes after a lengthy battle with Dementia on August 22, 2020. He will be missed by his loving wife Maria Arminda Lopes of 52 years. Delfim is survived by his son Marco Lopes, daughter in law Melanie Sinfield and daughter Susi Lopes whom he adored. He was a proud grandpa to Maia and Chloe. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He had a great sense of humour and had a passion for his family and soccer. The family would like to thank the staff at the General Hospital for all the care and support given to Delfim. Visitation will be held at Friscolanti Funeral Chapel 43 Barton Street Hamilton on Wednesday August 26 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Lawrence Church on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. Interment to take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Burlington. Physical distancing and wearing of a mask will be mandatory for all guests. Due to capacity restrictions, you may be required to wait. Same restrictions will apply at Church.
In Delfim’s memory donations made to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
