Delbert “Del” L. Block
1955 – 2020
Del passed away with family by his side on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK at the age of 65 years.
Del was predeceased by his grandparents; mother Dorothy Block; sister- in-law Lorretta Murphy; nephews, Chad Block, Kirby Blerot and Taran Carpenter.
Del will forever be remembered and loved by his family: wife Carol Block; daughters Kassie, Kalita (Colin Munroe), Kyra (Chris Bauman); father Orville Block; brothers and sisters, Wayne, Ron, Darlene King and Joanne Dacey; grandchildren, Rian, Carson, Lincoln and Camron.
The Celebration of Life for Del will take place on Friday, March 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.at the Church of God with Pastor Geoff Thiessen officiating. Doughnuts and coffee will be served in the auditorium immediately following the service.
Carol and their daughters are forever grateful for the overwhelming amount of support from the family, friends, neighbors and the community. We will forever cherish everything you have done and the strength that you have given us.
Throughout the past 23 years of the cancer journey, Del received nothing but excellent care from Dr. Christie, the amazing nurses and staff at St Joseph’s hospital.
For the past 15 months, the family send a huge thank you to Dr. Salim and staff at the Allan Blair Cancer Center, and the Oncology Unit 4D at Pasqua Hospital, and the RUH Bone Marrow/ Stem Cell Unit: Dr. Saubrey, Dr. Assem, Dr Kodad and all the other amazing staff on the unit.
