David Ronald Condy
81, Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Jean (Brocklebank) and Major Anthony Condy. Dave graduated from Armdale Junior High School and St.Pat’s High School. He served in the Military at Camp Borden Officer Cadet School. He worked for Universal Electric and then Canada Post as a letter carrier, a supervisor and retired as Station Manager of Lower Sackville after 34 years of service. He loved to play and watch sports, and he and son Mike were avid HABS fans, while daughter Kathy strayed to the LEAFS. He loved wheeling and dealing and could often be found selling or buying at flea markets and yard sales. He was a great handyman, and he and nephew Jimmy worked side by side on many projects. Upon retiring he moved to Bayswater where he volunteered many hours with community groups including the Peninsula Players, All Saints Church, District #1 Community Centre and the Blandford Seasiders Seniors Club. During his lifetime he attended the Catholic, Anglican and Baptist churches and found comfort in them all. Special thanks to the caring staff of VG Hospital Palliative Care 7A. He is survived by his wife, Plessa (Murphy), daughter Kathy and son-in-law Rick Schnare, son, Mike and daughter-in-law Kim, grandson RJ (Thyra) Shore, great granddaughters Violet and Robin Shore, step grandson Nathan (Laura) Schnare, step great grandsons Ryder and Jasper Schnare, brother Donald (Cookie) Condy, brother- in-law Sherman (Carol) Murphy, sister-in-law, Barbara Hilchey and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his much loved puppies Juliette, Lulu and Vada. He was predeceased by his in-laws, Bertha and Luther Murphy, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kearney and Earl Hartlen, brother-in-law, Laurier Hilchey, and his sweet puppies Holly and Heidi. Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, funeral services will be held at a later date. Memories and On-line condolences may be made to Ronald A.
