McLELLAN, Thomas Daniel “Dan”
Dan passed away peacefully, on his own terms, with cool determination and quiet dignity at the Kirkland and District Hospital in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on Monday April 6, 2020 at the age of 69. Predeceased by his parents Robert M. “Bud” McLellan and Jane McLellan (née Gibson). Survived by his loving sister Roberta Jordan (Jack), niece Kelly Armstrong (David), niece Kerry McCallum (Christopher), nephew Cory Jordan, great-nephew Jordan Armstrong, and great-nieces Addison and Raeghan McCallum, all of Ottawa, Ontario.
A drummer in his youth, Dan was a lifelong music lover and a voracious reader, interested in widely varied subjects. Friends and family will fondly remember him for his mix of playful humour and pugnacity.
Dan’s family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to Betty Smallwood, Dr. Sara Kurki, and Dr. Jessica Moore for their support and expertise as we navigated care decisions and outcomes from afar. We also want to thank the incredible team of nurses who looked after him each day. Your kindness and persistence was sincerely appreciated.
A Celebration of Life and interment will take place at a later date.
