Crill Ann Merrick
January 4, 1920 – May 14, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of Crill Ann Merrick in Kelowna, BC on May 14, 2020. Crill, Mom and Nanny, was deeply loved and will be missed by her daughter, Donna, son, Doug (Sharon). Grandchildren, Wendy (Darren) Otto, Jeff (Stacey) Otto, Kim (Ryan) Wismer, Kelly (Kristin) Merrick, Michael Prodor, Cathy Prodor, Leah (Doug) Perrelli. Great grandchildren, Morgan, Simone, Gage, Grayson, Jordyn, Lauryn, Sawyer, Caiden, James, Courtney and DC.
Crill was predeceased by her husband, Douglas in 1992 and her daughter, Gale in 2016.
Crill was born, grew up, married and eventually gave birth to her first child, Gale in Montreal, QC. They moved to Toronto where her second and third children were born, Donna and Doug. In the 50’s the Merricks moved to Edmonton, AB where Crill lived until moving to her last home at the age of 95, Kelowna, BC. Crill was an avid Curler, skipping her own team in Edmonton for many years. Her summer love was Golf, the game she played as often as possible in Edmonton, or in their summer home in Desert Hot springs, CA with her loving husband, Douglas.
The family hope to honour our mother Crill with a celebration of life at a later date.
