Landry, Constance Catherine “Connie”
Age 98, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the VG Hospital on Nov.5, 2020. She was born in Dartmouth, Feb. 20th, 1922, the daughter of the late James Francis and Almira (Stewart) Kane. While Mom spent most of her life in Dartmouth, she also lived in Quebec during the early to mid 1940’s while Dad was stationed there with the Canadian Armed Forces. She also spent several years living in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton. She was a stay at home Mom who had her hands full raising, and forever worrying about, 5 very active children.
She is survived by sons David, Bill (Catherine), Paul (Cheryl) all of Dartmouth; James (Mary) Elora ON; daughter Linda (Edward) Dartmouth; nine grandchildren and eleven great- grandchildren three great great- grandchildren; half brothers and sisters John(Audrey), Mike (Pearl), Shelia LeBlanc, Jean (Tom Hoskins) all of Dartmouth; Vickie (John Levandier) Moncton.
She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Henry Vincent “Vince”; sister Mary (Maurice “Jim” Moir); brother Stewart (Shirley); half brothers Don and Jim.
Special thanks to Jeannie Broderick for her time spent with Mom over the last few years. Jeannie, you brightened Mom`s days and we truly appreciate your helping us take care of our Mother. Special thanks also to the Staff at Adelaide Senior Care Home where mom resided. Your attention to her comfort and well being was excellent and much appreciated by the family. She often told us how pleased she was to be with you. Many thanks also to the staff on 7A of the VG Hospital who cared for her and saw to her comfort during her short stay.
