It is with great sadness that the
family of the late CLAUDE J.
EDWARDS of Lawn announces his
passing. Claude passed away at the Burin Peninsula
Health Care Centre in Burin on Tuesday, May
5th, 2020 at the age of
76. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful
memories are his son, Scott Edwards of Texas; daughters, Chantal
Ritchler of Quebec, and Holly Walsh of St. John’s; a number
of grandchildren; sisters, Marie Edwards of Lawn, Theresa Edwards of
Lawn, and Dorothy Bushey (Herbert) of Ontario; brothers, Hubert
Edwards (Florence) of Lawn and Patrick Edwards (Marie) of Lawn;
brothers-in-law, Edgar Edwards of Lawn and Kenny Emo of Quebec;
special friends, Lily Jacobs and Celestine & Yvonne
Walsh; plus a large circle of nieces, nephews,
extended family and friends. Claude was predeceased
by parents, Patrick & Elizabeth Edwards; son, Mark Edwards;
sisters, Bertha Alavistos, Ethel Manning, Anna Purcell, Evelyn Jarvis,
Mabel Edwards and Mary Emo; and brothers, Emeil Edwards, Stance
Edwards and Adrian Edwards.
In honoring Claude’s
wishes, cremation has taken place.
Due to
the current Public Health Advisory of COVID-19 no visitation or
funeral service will be held.
In Claude’s memory
donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
