It is with great sorrow that we announce that Clarence Mascoll has passed peacefully from this life on the morning of August 28, 2020.
Clarence Augustus Mascoll was born on December 24, 1942 in St. Andrew, Barbados. He was the youngest child of his parents Eldica and Clarence, and as such was named after his father.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife Velma (nee Greenidge) and their children; Denise Adams (Leslie), Richard Mascoll, Angelina Cumberbatch (Franklyn), Winston Mascoll, Sheryl Mascoll-Pierre (Darel), Cynthia Mascoll (Leroy), John Mascoll (Tracey) and Althea Simmons (Rick).
He was the proud grandfather of Channelle, Leonard, Clayton, Charisse, Kemar, Tyriq, Kemarr, Kambreia, Cheyenne, Shayla, Jordyn, Ryan, Wendell, Maria-Olivia, Gillian, Rashida, Imogen and several great grandchildren. Clarence was loved by his abundance of nieces and nephews.
He also leaves behind his beloved brother St. Clair (Donny) Mascoll and sister Ianthy Alleyne. He is survived by his sisters-in-law Coraleen, Ione, Audrey, Marilyn and Dorothy. He will be missed by his many cousins and friends.
Clarence trained and worked as a welder fitter for many years in England and Canada. He found joy in gardening, reading, music and being an active member of many cultural, social and entertainment committees within Waterloo Region.
Clarence was a DJ, board member and the president of CKWR Community Radio for 46 years before retiring in 2018.
Clarence was a dedicated church member, a part of the Men’s Ministry and
an active participant in the Media Ministry of Kingdom Community International (Kitchener Church of God) for 15 years.
Clarence loved his family and lived life to the fullest every day.
Even though we are saddened by his passing, we are delighted that he is in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be held on Friday September 4, 2020 at Lounsbury Funeral Home (1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge, ON N3C 1N8) from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Going home service will be held on Saturday September 5, 2020 at 11am at Kingdom Community International (533 Weber Street East Kitchener, ON), followed by interment at New Hope Cemetery (235 Cooper Street, Cambridge, ON).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kingdom Community International building fund.
