CLAIRE BURNS
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Claire
Burns (nee Peloquin) beloved wife of Ray and loving mother of Brent
(Christina) and Marley, her favorite dog, on November 4, 2020 at the St.
Boniface Hospital.
Claire was born in Winnipeg, MB on May 19, 1941 to Emile and Rose
Peloquin. She leaves to mourn an extended family including siblings,
Harmel, Olive (Bill), Mona (Roger, deceased), Norm and Moe, as well as
sister in-law Denise (Denis, deceased) and many nieces and nephews.
Ray and Claire were married in 1962 and were blessed with their son Brent
who brought much joy to their lives. Some of their fondest memories
include many trips to the hockey rink cheering on his team. They also
enjoyed the outdoors where they loved to camp and eventually purchased a
cottage at Malachi where many great times were had with family and
friends.
Claire worked many years as a nurse’s aide at the St. Amant Centre and St.
Boniface Hospital. She was well loved by all and her sense of humor
brought joy to both staff and patients.
Claire had very fond memories of the years that they lived in Ile des Chenes
where her and Ray lived on an acreage next to Brent’s home. Her favorite
pass time was playing with their two beloved dogs as well as watching the
many types of birds and animals on their property.
In keeping with Claire’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a
private family service will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined.
