Passed away at his residence on Wednesday, December 25th, 2019, Christopher Mark Booth, age 50. Predeceased by his grandparents Ronald and Thelma Booth, William and Lillian Brown and his nephew Jaydon Booth.
Left with loving memories are his parents Edwin (Ted) and Bette Booth of Kenora, ON; son Tyler Booth and his mother Joanne Green of New-Wes-Valley, siblings Cory Booth (Lori), Jeff Booth, Tara Booth (Aj VINET), Tim Booth (Ailson O’Sullivan) of Kenora, ON; numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, nieces and nephews, Hayley (Jeremy Schwartz), Akaylia and Kreston, Reno Booth, Malcolm Booth, Kamden Booth, Lilly VINET all of Kenora, ON; and a large circle of work family and friends.
Chris was born October 16th 1969 to Ted and Bette BOOTH in Kenora, ON. Chris was the oldest of 5 children. As a child, Chris moved around Northwest Ontario and Manitoba with his family making friends in many places. As a teenager, Chris and his family settled back in the Kenora, ON. During his childhood, Chris enjoyed the outdoors and spent lots of time with his family at parks and various beaches throughout Northwestern Ontario, as well as at the family farm in Burriss, ON where his Grandma and Grandpa BOOTH resided. Chris also had a special bond with his Nan and Pop (Bill & Lil BROWN ) of Kenora and spent a lot of time both as a child and an adult with them. Chris attended and Graduated from Beaver Brae High School in 1988 before moving on to Confederation College in Kenora and graduating from the Practical Nursing Program. After Collage, Chris excelled in his nursing career, getting his first at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, ON. Chris wanted to expand his horizons and moved out to British Columbia where he got a job at the Northern Haida Gwaii Hospital in Masset, BC. While working Masset, Chris met Joanne GREEN and the two of them started a life together. In 1998, Chris and Joanne moved to Ste Rose du Lac briefly before settling in Portage La Prairie where Chris worked at the Portage District Hospital. On May 24th, 2002, Chris and Joanne welcomed their son Tyler into this world who was Chris’s pride and Joy
Chris moved to Newfoundland with Joanne and his son Tyler to Pound Cove in 2006 where he worked as a LPN at Brookfield Hospital & Bonnew’s Lodge. Chris enjoyed the peacefulness that came with living in a small community. He spent many hours walking the beaches with Tyler when he was a little boy looking for treasures that may of washed ashore by the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Chris then took a LPN position at JPMH in Gander. During his years of living in Gander, he joined the Gander Fire Department where he dedicated many hours of volunteer work. He was very proud to be a member of a great team of people and spoke very highly of them often. Chris’s will surely be missed by many especially by his son Tyler and his parents & siblings.
Chris’s son Tyler will be receiving friends on Sunday, January 5th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander. As per Chris’s wishes, Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Chris’s life will be held near Kenora, ON at a later date in the summer of 2020 where he will be laid to rest next to his Nan and Pop.
