Obituary
Cheryl Lynn Remmer was born in Calgary, AB, on July 25, 1947, to Julius and Phyllis May Leinweber. Cheryl grew up in Calgary and attended Forest Lawn High School, where she met her future husband, Uffe Petri (Pete) Remmer. These high school sweethearts were married on December 7, 1968. Cheryl lost Pete to a tragic motorcycle accident in October 1975, and she never remarried. She was also predeceased by her older sisters Darline Leinweber and Jackie Maltese.
Cheryl continued her education with night classes at SAIT for a number of years in the mid-’80s and worked her way up at PanCanadian Petroleum over her ten years there. She then moved to Telus, where she worked for 20 years before retiring eight years ago.
She enjoyed long walks at the Glenmore reservoir, watching the boats and her coffee visits with her friend of 62 years, Richard Pearson.
Cheryl leaves behind her daughter Tammy, her son-in-law Brad and her two grandchildren, Natalie and Nathan.
